That distressing image comes from a video about a young boy whose life was affected by his Underdeveloped Airway.
Let me introduce Connor.
Connor saw various specialists seeking help, and none seemed to be able to find a solution, or even help improve things for this boy and his family. They did their best, but they just could not put their finger on what was actually causing the problem.
His family suffered terribly as well. In fact, they did very well to stay together under the stress of Connor’s behaviour. Try to imagine the stress on a relationship when your son tells you he doesn’t want to live any more…
And – they were genuinely concerned that Connor would end up taking his own life.
Connor was labeled with a condition called oppositional defiant disorder.
Finally, they found the solution.
The right approach to Early Intervention Orthodontics with Functional, Airway Centric Orthopaedic treatment, can make all the difference. The dentist they finally found was one who understands the problems associated with airway obstruction, and how to correct the problems, working with the right team of other specialists. By Treating this young boy’s airway, they changed his life for the better. They brought peace to the family, and a level of normality to the young boy’s life.
You see, ADHD and other behavioral problems are widespread in today’s schools with millions of children in Western society on prescription medications with or without psychotherapy. But, a significant number of these children have a treatable sleep-breathing problem, which has not been diagnosed.
So many of these children are lost. They know something is wrong, but they don’t know what, and their parents are helpless to answer their plea for help. Connor’s story shows that there is hope…
Finding Connor Deegan.
These types of cases are very upsetting to meet, but such a pleasure to see their treatment progressing, and their lives improving.
I have had the honour and pleasure to have treated children with similar conditions to Connor, and we have seen dramatic results –
- with these children forming friendships for the first time in their lives
- watching their school grades improving from the lowest in their class to among the highest,
- watching these “naughty” kids become calm, quiet, intelligent and kind children
…all in the space of a few months.
If you know a child who who has trouble focussing, is regarded as badly behaved, is beligerant and uncooperative, who wants to give up on everything, even to the point of giving up on life itself… Please don’t give up on them. We may be able to help as we have with many others.
These are not “bad kids” – they are kids who are not sleeping properly and not getting the oxygen levels required for their proper physical, mental and emotional development. So many of them can also turn around as quickly as a month or two.
So give them a chance. Book a time for a consultation so we can assess whether we can help.
