Orofacial Pain

This term describes pain which is generated in the Jaw Joints (Temporomandibular Joints or TMJs), mouth, sinuses, muscles and fascia. At Mountains TMJ and Dental Sleep Medicine, we are focussed on head, neck and facial pain which is so commonly associated with jaw joint dysfunction.

The interesting thing about the fascia associated with the mouth and jaws is that it directly connects throughout the body via a fascial network, all the way to the toes. So stress within the fascia of the face, can cause or exacerbate fascial problems throughout the body.
